Non-Perishable Grocery Drive
For June, July & August, we are running a Non-Perishable grocery drive.
All donations of Non-Perishable food items and toiletries are greatly appreciated
Winter appeal now live
As it is officially winter, we are now launching our winter appeal for 2025. Any amount helps, no matter how big or small.
We are a registeted charity, so all donations are tax dedictible.
If you are not in a position to be able to donate money, we are also running a winter food drive. We are after non-perishable food items and toiletries to distribute to people in need this winter.

International Women’s Day
On Friday 7th March 2025 we will be holding International Womens Day at Ricky’s Place in conjunction with the Women’s Resource Centre in Bega!

Quick Bites, Easy eats for teens
In January 2025, in conjunction with Bega Valley Shire Council, we conducted free cooking classes for teens! These were called “Quick Bites, Easy eats for teens” And was based around our Chop Chat Chew Program.
Each session saw between 8 and 12 teens come together and cook a meal. Some recipes were quite basic, others were more complex.
The program was a fabulous success & was enjoyed by all.

New Signage at Pantry
We got some new signage installed at the Pantry on Sunday 29th of September!

Thursday 12th September, we held a bbq for R U OK? Day!
Remember that every day is R U OK? Day! Mental health is an important topic in our community, and never feel scared to reach out and ask for help.

On Saturday 28th July we were awarded Best Community Organisation at the 2024 Bega Valley Business Awards
Successful grant from IMB
Last November we recieved a grant from the IMB Bank's IMB Community Foundation to purchase Defibrillators & First aid training for our volunteers.
We have now completed all aspects with this program and would love to whole heartedly thank the IMB for their assistance in this funding to be able to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all volunteers and visitors to the Sapphire Community Pantry.
